
Ricardo Porven is an award-winning, 30-year veteran, of the advertising industry. During his advertising career, he was directly responsible for creating memorable and effective campaigns for an impressive roster of national clients, such as Ford Motor Company, Mobil Oil, American Airlines, Pizza Hut, M&M Mars, SC Johnson Wax, Office Depot and more.
He made his directorial debut in the year 2001, with a campaign for Johnson & Wales University, followed by a campaign for the Collier County Tourism Board. His short film “Lapse” was an official selection at the Made in Miami Film Festival.
Ricardo had a long stint at CineVideoTech as their marketing director where he planned, created, produced and all of the company's advertising and marketing efforts. He was also responsible for direct sales and management of staff.
From 2007-2010 Ricardo was Partner and Creative Director at Dog & Pony Advertising, where he helped acquire and develop a list of local, regional and national clients before leaving to launch his own independent business. He is currently freelancing full time. His work runs the gamut from traditional print, outdoor and film/video to social media, web development, illustration and product design.
Ricardo is also a fine artist who has had works exhibited in various galleries in South Florida, Arizona and California. His illustrations have also been published in books, magazines and comic books.
He has developed a steady photography business as well, specializing in product, automobile, real estate and lifestyle shoots.
His goals are to grow his freelance business, publish an original graphic novel that he has been developing for five years, and direct an independent feature film.
